Who I am
Carl Julin has worked with National Geographic Wild at their headquarters in D.C in summer of 2018 as an executive assistant intern and he shadowed an employee reviewing shows aimed for children for the early education centered TV channel. From this internship, his love of the film,tv, and photography world grew, and for his senior project in high school, Carl did an internship at Stone Photography in Bethesda, MD as an assistant to multiple principal photographers. He ended up receiving an award of high honors for the presentation on the experience. From there on, he completed an Associate of Arts from Montgomery College with a concentration in photography and worked as the Lead Photography Counselor for TIC at their Virginia campus, helping kids ages 7 to 16 put together photo portfolios and understand the basics of framing and lighting. Carl was then accepted to George Mason University where he graduated magna cum laude and received a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Video Studies, with a concentration in cinematography and completed a minor in photography. He interned at the George Mason University's Office of University branding and helped as an assistant for one of the colleges senior level photographers and worked on multiple senior projects working with various camera, lighting, and sound equipment.

Carl's skills in film and photography have always been to help and uplift other people’s projects rather than to uplift himself.
With his work, he makes sure to emphasize his main strategies: Presentation of the concept, capturing what the client wishes to see and trying to be level with their message, and maintaining consistent turn-ins for deadlines. With the subject in frame and staged, Carl makes sure he's aware of how to incorporate them with the additional values of the person or brand.
